Following her career-best year in 2025, the American has struggled to get going in 2026, having tallied a number of early exits at tour-level events.
After bowing out in Miami, Anisimova took to social media to send a message to Vleeshouwers.

In a post on Instagram, Anisimova said: “It’s been quite the ride and journey together. Last year holds so many special moments and achievements together that I will never forget!
“We picked up some trophies and incredible milestones, but all the laughs and behind-the-scenes moments I’ll carry with me even more.
“Thank you, Rick, thank you for everything you’ve done for me. For seeing and treating me as a human first, before an athlete.
Who are you backing to complete the sunshine double?
Or do you think both Sabalenka and Sinner will win the Miami Open?
“That meant the world to me, and made for a great partnership. Your dedication, loyalty, and passion is undeniable!
“I wish you nothing but happiness and success in whatever comes next for you in this chapter!”

Amanda Anisimova’s successful stint with Rick Vleeshouwers
After hiring Vleeshouwers in 2024, Anisimova went on to enjoy her best season to date.
With the Dutchman in her corner in 2025, Anisimova claimed her first two WTA 1000 titles at the Qatar Open and the China Open.
She also reached her very first Grand Slam final at the Wimbledon championships, and made another major final later that summer at the US Open.
In 2026 so far, Anisimova bowed out of the Australian Open in the quarterfinals, and has suffered early exits in Doha, Indian Wells and Miami.
Anisimova’s best run this year has been a semifinal finish, which she managed in Dubai.
