The clay-court swing is now well underway on the WTA Tour, but Alexandra Eala has been busy planning her grass-court season.

Lately Eala has been focused on the Italian Open, using the tournament as preparation for the French Open later this month.

The clay-court event in Paris marks the second Grand Slam of 2026, with Eala having fallen in the first round of the Australian Open earlier this season.

Wimbledon closely follows Roland Garros in the WTA calendar, with the Grand Slam season concluding with the US Open.

Eala will be eager to enjoy a strong clay-court spell right now, but she has just been confirmed for the first tournament of the 2026 grass-court season.

Also taking part in the WTA 125 tournament are Alycia Parks, Tatjana Maria, Antonia Ruzic, Talia Gibson and Beatriz Haddad Maia among other exciting names.

The event is scheduled for 1-7 June, while Wimbledon returns to the busy schedule from 29th June to 12th July.

How did Alexandra Eala perform on grass in 2025?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Birmingham Open has really hyped up Eala’s upcoming appearance this summer.

Despite her youth, the 20-year-old constantly attracts huge attention wherever she plays, both in-person and from afar.

Her breakout season in 2025 has played a key role in her rise, with a Miami Open semifinal run as a wildcard among her superb achievements.

But Eala also enjoyed a very strong grass-court season, which she again started at the Birmingham Open.

The Filipina did, however, lose her opening match, but recovered by reaching the quarterfinals of the Ilkley Open.

She also lost her opener at the Nottingham Open after two qualifying wins, but saved her best for the Eastbourne Open immediately after.

Again reaching the main draw via qualifying, Eala made it all the way to the final, where she was beaten by fellow rising star Maya Joint.

Despite that fantastic run, the hugely popular figure fell in the first round of Wimbledon, although she did have the very tricky task of taking on Barbora Krejcikova.

Eala finished her grass-court campaign with 10 wins and five losses, which she could very well improve upon this summer.
