Each player has their favourite tournaments and Alexander Zverev has now changed his view on one particular event.
The German has been on the ATP Tour for a decade and has played in multiple different tournaments events across the world.
In February, the 27-year-old competed in South America for the first time on tour, and now he is set to play at California’s Indian Wells Masters.
This event is a favourite among both the players and fans, but there is another tournament played on American soil that Alexander Zverev has changed his mind about.
Which ATP event does Alexander Zverev now enjoy playing in?
Zverev has played in multiple tournaments in many different countries over the course of his career.
Many events take place in the United States each year at each level of the game, and they host more Masters 1000 events than any other country.
The Cincinnati Masters is traditionally the third and final Masters 1000 event of the campaign to take place in the States.
This is a tournament Zverev enjoys playing in and has won the title in the past, but he did not always feel that way.
“I really like Cincinnati nowadays. I really didn’t like the tournament the first seven times I got there. I lost seven first rounds in a row, which isn’t great. But, I found my happy place there in a way,” Zverev told reporters.
“I’m staying at the same house. My family usually comes. My girlfriend comes. It’s always, like, a very familiar kind of situation for me now, which is very nice. You know, I feel comfort in that, in a way.
“So I figured that out a few years ago, and kind of kept that routine. I mean, Cincinnati as a tournament in general, I really like it. I think it’s a good tournament. I’m excited to see the new facilities.”

In 2024 tennis extended the length of some ATP Masters and WTA 1000 tournaments.
Selected events now last two weeks and it was met with a polarising response, with the likes of Frances Tiafoe disagreeing with the move.
Now Zverev has shared his thoughts on the decision, and he is also not happy with the extension. “I’m not the biggest fan of two-week Masters events,” the World number two said.
“I think just the season is getting longer and longer, and we have more time we have to spend at tournaments, but it’s not the tournament’s fault.
“In general it’s not Cincinnati’s fault, it’s just the decision that the ATP made. But all in all, I feel positive about Cincinnati and the changes that they are doing.”
