Alexander Zverev has highlighted the Grand Slam he has a really great chance of winning in 2025.
The 27-year-old is desperate to claim one of tennis’ four major titles and has come agonisingly close on more than once occasion.
Alexander Zverev most recently reached the Australian Open final, where he lost to Jannik Sinner in straight sets.
Though there is still three months until the next Grand Slam commences in Paris, the World number two is already tailoring his schedule to prepare for the tournament.

Alexander Zverev thinks he has a ‘great chance’ of winning the 2025 French Open
Alexander Zverev’s most consistent Grand Slam has been the French Open.
The German’s best result came in 2024 when he reached the final and held a two sets to one lead over Carlos Alcaraz, who completed a comeback and claimed the title, leaving Zverev to think about what might have been.
Now leading into the 2025 edition of the event, Zverev is already preparing for another chance at French Open glory, and playing on the clay courts in South America is helping him do just that.
“It’s one of the reasons I’m here. My main focuses are the Grand Slams and I want to compete for those,” Zverev said ahead of competing at the Rio Open.
“Roland Garros is always kind of marked on my calendar, and a little bit because I feel like I have great chances there. Hopefully I can prove it this year.
“I want to go on a clay court as soon as possible. I want to feel the court again. I wanted to play on it, and of course, get ready for the big tournaments coming up.
“Of course, we have two more Masters in the United States on hard courts. But after that, it’s all clay, and I’m looking forward to that swing as well.”

What is Alexander Zverev’s French Open record?
Zverev has won 34 of his 43 matches at the French Open, which gives him a winning percentage of 79%.
He has reached at least the semi-finals one each of his last four appearances, and has failed to reach the quarter-finals just three times since his main draw debut in 2016.
Zverev was beaten by Stefanos Tsitsipas in five sets in 2021, before having to retire hurt against Rafael Nadal while trailing by a set in 2022.
Zverev played Casper Ruud in the 2023 semi-finals and lost in straight sets before he gained some revenge by defeating the Norwegian in 2024.
