Alexander Zverev produced another unstoppable display as he beat Holger Rune to reach the Paris Masters final.
Zverev has a problem with his lungs, but that hasn’t prevented the German from reaching the last two in the French capital.
The Paris Masters third seed overcame 13th seed Rune 6-3, 7-6(7-4) in one hour and 47 minutes, moving second in the ATP Live Rankings in the process.
Zverev really enjoys playing in Paris, where the German is chasing his second title of 2024 following his Italian Open win.
But regardless of what happens in his next final, Zverev will overtake Carlos Alcaraz and move into second place in the ATP rankings.

Alexander Zverev equals Jannik Sinner win record
Zverev also secured his 65th win of 2024, drawing him level with world number one Jannik Sinner for the most this season.
It is, however, the Italian who has managed to make the most of his final appearances, with seven tour-level titles having gone his way.
Zverev meanwhile has a right to wrong in Paris, having lost the 2020 final to Daniil Medvedev, despite taking the first set.
The German is now looking to secure his seventh ATP Masters 1,000 title, and his first hard-court trophy above ATP 250 level since the 2021 ATP Finals.
Having just ended Stefanos Tsitsipas’s ATP Finals hopes in their semi-final clash, Zverev has now done the same for Rune.
