Alex de Minaur praises Australian Open fans ahead of the United Cup
The United Cup is one of many events taking place in Australia in the near future, all leading up to the Australian Open.
Perth joins Sydney in hosting the team event, which sees WTA and ATP players come together to represent their countries.
After that, the tours go their separate ways to the likes of Adelaide and Brisbane, with Melbourne then hosting the Australian Open.

Sharing his verdict on many of those set to take in the action up close, De Minaur said: “The Australian fans are passionate; they love their sport.
“[They are] the best fans in the world and ultimately for myself and any Aussies competing, there’s nothing you want to do more than play well at home in front of our fans.”
Currently ranked seventh in the world, many eyes will be on De Minaur to help guide Australia to United Cup success.
But it certainly won’t be easy, particularly with the likes of the USA being keen to defend their title this time around.
