Alex de Minaur has fallen just short of another title at the Libema Open after losing the final to Kamil Majchrzak.
De Minaur won the title at ‘s-Hertogenbosch in 2024, representing his second success on grass following Eastbourne in 2021.
He came agonizingly close to another grass-court title at the ATP 250 event this week, but lost the final 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(7-5).
De Minaur must now quickly turn his focus to Queen’s, but he has first sent a classy message to Majchrzak after he claimed his maiden ATP title.

Iga Swiatek reacts to Kamil Majchrzak winning the Libema Open
It was a high-quality battle between second seed De Minaur and Majchrzak, with the Pole outlasting the Australian after two hours and 25 minutes.
Majchrzak shared his admiration for Novak Djokovic shortly after lifting the trophy, but his success has also caught the eye of a WTA icon.

“Enjoy the moment!”
Like De Minaur, the 30-year-old is rapidly moving on to Queen’s, which he enters with a new career-high rank.
He has risen a huge 29 places in the ATP rankings after his title in the Netherlands, and now finds himself in 47th place.
Majchrzak will start against Jiri Lehecka at Queen’s, where De Minaur takes on Gabriel Diallo, having also decided to commit to doubles with home favorite Cam Norrie.
