The first weekend of the US Open is nearing its conclusion, and thus we are about to find out which players have managed to secure their place in the second week of this Grand Slam.
Saturday saw another round of enthralling fixtures, but admittedly there were very few upsets compared to the days that had gone by.
After all, seeing both Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz bow out has really blown the menβs draw wide open.
With that in mind, there are plenty of stars who will be hoping to consolidate their position within the event with key wins today.

Naturally, the key storylines from day seven of the US Open are dominated by the sheer amount of Americans on display.
After all, these are the players who truly generate the legendary atmosphere that has made this event so revered.
Coco Gauffβs rematch with Emma Navarro in another Grand Slam should promise fireworks on Arthur Ashe, as they clash again after their Wimbledon showdown.

Taylor Fritz is another with a tough but wholly winnable challenge too, facing the eighth seed Casper Ruud, a former finalist at the US Open.
