Jannik Sinner versus Carlos Alcaraz should once again be the rivalry to watch out for on the ATP Tour in 2026.
Sinner met Alcaraz six times on the ATP Tour in 2025, with all six of their meetings remarkably arriving in finals.
That included three Grand Slam finals, with Alcaraz winning their French Open and US Open ties either side of Sinner’s Wimbledon triumph.
But, the leading duo aside, which players could challenge what is clearly the biggest and best ATP rivalry in 2026?
Who is your favorite ATP player right now?
Alexander Zverev vs Daniil Medvedev
While Alexander Zverev is ranked third in the world, this is very much a battle between two elder statesmen looking to stay relevant.
Zverev, who has never won a Grand Slam title, has an 8-14 head-to-head record against Medvedev, who won the 2021 US Open.
The German is now 28 and the Russian is 29, with both players arguably entering a make-or-break season amid the continued dominance of Sinner and Alcaraz.

Joao Fonseca vs Learner Tien
Very much at the other end of their careers are Joao Fonseca and Learner Tien, who played out the final at the 2024 Next Gen ATP Finals.
Fonseca won that clash, and has gone on to become a hugely exciting prospect on the ATP Tour, with two titles to his name at the age of 19.
He boasts a 3-0 head-to-head record over Tien, although the American ace will be full of confidence for 2026 after winning the most recent Next Gen ATP Finals title.

Novak Djokovic vs Taylor Fritz
Very few ATP Tour discussions would be complete without a mention of arguably the greatest player of all time.
Novak Djokovic will play his 81st Grand Slam at the Australian Open, where he could be reunited with American ace Taylor Fritz.
Which American man has the best chance of winning a Grand Slam in 2026?
And that is very surprisingly one of the most one-sided rivalries in all of tennis, with Djokovic winning all 11 of their matches so far.
But with the 38-year-old getting older, Fritz should be able to finally get one over the Serbian should they meet again in 2026.
