With the grass-court swing now over, the ATP and WTA tours can now turn to the North American hard-court swing.
And it’s certainly a busy period, with the likes of the Washington Open, Canadian Open and Cincinnati Open all building up to the US Open.

After brief breaks following Wimbledon, many high-profile ATP and WTA players will take on the events as they make the transition from grass courts to hard courts.
But along with their singles exploits, a handful are joining forces to create very exciting doubles pairings on the court.
Five exciting doubles pairings in the North American swing
Alexandra Eala and Venus Williams
Arguably the most high-profile link-up, WTA rising star Alexandra Eala has decided to team up with legendary figure Venus Williams.
They only just connected for the first time at Bad Homburg last month, but impressed as they reached the quarterfinals.
Eala and Williams will now reunite at the Mubadala DC Open, which gets underway in Washington later this month.

Frances Tiafoe and Nick Kyrgios
They certainly aren’t the only exciting pairing at the tournament, which is also an ATP 500 on the men’s side.
There, home favorite Frances Tiafoe has decided to form a doubles partnership with the one and only Nick Kyrgios.
The American is set to receive huge support at his home tournament, which the Australian ace has won before in both singles and doubles.
Coco Gauff and Caty McNally
Shortly after Washington, the ATP calendar moves on to Montreal, while the WTA Tour makes its way to Toronto.
Both are 1000-level events, and all-American pair Coco Gauff and Caty McNally have decided to commit to the latter.
They certainly have history on the same side of the court, with the duo winning multiple WTA doubles titles, having also reached the 2021 US Open final.

Ben Shelton and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina to team up in Montreal
Montreal is also set to host exciting doubles pairings, namely Ben Shelton and his partner Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
But rivalling that duo are Valentin Vacherot and Arthur Rinderknech, who are not only partners but also cousins.
They famously went head-to-head in the final of the 2025 Shanghai Masters, which Vacherot won 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
He emerged victorious at the event as a qualifier, with Vacherot and Rinderknech playing out the first-ever ATP Masters 1000 final between relatives.
