John Verrall

John Verrall is the Director and Deputy Head of Global Sport at GRV Media, jointly overseeing the strategic growth and editorial direction of the network’s sports portfolio. A cornerstone of GRV’s expansion for over a decade, he is responsible for the performance of flagship brands TBR Football and The Chelsea Chronicle, both of which achieved record traffic milestones under his leadership. As the founder of The Tennis Gazette and The Golfing Gazette, John built both into leading niche publications, securing interviews with global icons including Carlos Alcaraz, Tommy Fleetwood, and Shane Lowry. John’s pedigree includes writing for UEFA and The Guardian, alongside a Sports Journalism degree from Staffordshire University. An award-winning broadcaster, his podcast, Up The Poshcast, was named Best Club Content Creator (Football League) at the 2025 Football Content Awards.

Callum Davies

Callum Davies is the Managing Editor of Tennishead, where he directs editorial strategy and oversees high-volume global coverage. With over three years of professional experience in sports journalism, he has authored thousands of articles across leading tennis platforms. He also holds a 2:1 BA in Journalism, Media and Culture from Newcastle University. Now a senior figure within the GRV Media network, Callum specialises in professional tour insights and major tournament coverage across both the WTA and the ATP, having also secured interviews with some of tennis' biggest names including Carlos Alcaraz and Paula Badosa.

Cameron Greenlees

Cameron Greenlees is a sports journalist for The Tennis Gazette at GRV Media, where he delivers in-depth analysis of both the men's and women's tours. A former varsity tennis player, Cameron has been passionate about the sport from a young age, and knew he wanted to build a career in tennis journalism before heading to the University of Sheffield in 2020. His previous experience includes coordinating ATP Media’s Tennis TV and contributing to outlets such as MailSport and GiveMeSport.

George Patten

George Patten is a qualified sports journalist with a first-class honours degree from the University of Central Lancashire. Having watched tennis since the age of five, George always wanted to make an impact in the sport. He contributed to platforms such as VAVEL, and Lob and Smash before joining GRV Media in 2024. Since then, George covered hundreds of events across both the ATP and WTA Tours. He has also interviewed several players, past and present, including Carlos Alcaraz.

Matthew Johns

Matthew Johns is a qualified sports journalist who specialises in professional tennis coverage and has a degree from the University of Derby. Matthew grew up playing tennis at a recreational level, but his passion for the sport really ignited when watching Emma Raducanu win the US Open in 2021. Matthew joined GRV Media in 2025 and has since covered both the WTA and ATP Tours in great depth. Matthew has also interviewed several players, both past and present, including 22-time Grand Slam champion Pam Shriver.

Peter Lynch

Peter Lynch has been working as a sports journalist for more than eight years, after graduating from the University of Stirling with First Class honours in Journalism. After gaining experience at BBC Sport Scotland, he started out on the 24-hour Sky Sports News desk in London, where he regularly covered tennis, a sport that he first took an interest in amid the rise of Roger Federer. His previous experience in the field includes a reporter role for the International University Sports Federation at the 30th Summer Universiade in Naples, where tennis was among the sports involved. He also enjoys playing at a recreational level, and has attended major tournaments such as the Italian Open in Rome. Peter also has a keen interest in golf, having attended major tournaments such as the DP World Tour Championship and the Irish Open.
